Marian Anderson Award
The Marian Anderson Award has been created to celebrate critically acclaimed artists – individuals who have used their talents for personal artistic expression and whose body of work has contributed to our society in a singular manner. Created in 1998, it is named in memory of the legendary singer and distinguished Philadelphian, Marian Anderson. The Marian Anderson Award also honors the legacy of Marian Anderson through its Young Artist Study-Grant Program which supports financially challenged high school-aged artists from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

Shane Victorino Foundation
The Shane Victorino Foundation is dedicated to promoting opportunities for underserved youth. The Foundation engages in projects which provide children in need with educational, recreational and wellness programs. The Shane Victorino Foundation was established by MLB All-Star Shane Victorino, and his wife, Melissa. Created in 2010, the Foundation’s signature project is the “Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club,” located in an impoverished area of Philadelphia and one of only a handful of clubs named in honor of an MLB player. The Foundation contributed nearly $1 million towards updating the century-old facility, which was in dire need of repair.
